Even Cheaper Gas

A gas update:

I heard of gas in the area being sold for $1.99 a gallon! I however was lucky enough to fill up for $2.08 a gallon. That ain't bad! That ain't bad at all! Keep falling gas prices!

On a side note, I'm relieved to know that my parents have landed safe and sound back on U.S. soil and are now back in their own beds for tonight. Whew. Can't wait to see pictures of their trip to China.

Pro Wedding Pics

We are so in love with our professional wedding pictures. They turned out so well and will look forward to looking at them... a lot! I know I posted recently with the website to view all these pictures, but I couldn't help but post some.
This one is one of my favorites. Kortnee just has this artistic eye that makes beautiful images.

Steph did my make up for the day. We had gone to Sephora earlier in the week to try out some new colors and got a trial done. Steph learned the techniques she needed to transform me to a beautiful bride. She did a fabulous job as I felt like a model.
This one was in the limo on the way to meet Brent for the first time. I was alone in there (besides the photographer) and...I had a moment.
I love this shot because it looks like we rolled in a background! With the perfect clouds and blue sky down to the steamboats in the river, it all looks fake...but it's not! We had a perfect day weather wise. Couldn't have asked for better weather for a wedding day.

I love this one not just for the jumping aspect (because that in itself is a really cool shot), but the fact that Brent is the calm, cool and collected one in the front and everyone behind him is acting out is so Brent. Sounds so mullet like. Ha!
The girls are giving a little 'tude. Well, I am anyway. And I have a waist!
Now this picture looks like it jumped out of a magazine or something. The colors are so perfect and surreal. Another favorite. Actually, I could probably say that about almost all the photos. "Perfect!"
This has our program, our cupcake (which I didn't eat any of...or even saw the cupcake table) and our rings.

Even Cheaper Gas

Okay, so there's an update from last week's post. I bought gas today for $2.31 per gallon. I am still in shock.

They're Here!

The pictures are finally here! And it has been worth the wait. They are gorgeous! Last night our photographer hosted a photo viewing party. We sat around ate popcorn and got a first look at the pictures. I swear after every photo I kept saying "I love this picture!" Brent was about to zip my mouth shut. They were so fabulous!

For those who don't have a whole day to dedicate to looking at photos (there's at least 700 pictures), you can look at our photographer's blog for a teaser. http://simplytimelessphotography.com/blog/

Cheap Gas

I am loving watching the gas prices just fall! Yesterday I filled up my tank at $2.65 per gallon. It cost me a total of $30. Holy Cheap Gas Batman! Isn't it sad that I'm that excited over $2.65. Crazy.
Remember when we could pump gas for under a $1 per gallon? And we'd fill the tank with $10?! And I could actually pay for gas in cash. Sigh...

Can't Get Enough

Natalie showing her team spirit for the Cleveland Browns.

Uncle Brent showing Natalie how to watch an Ohio State football game. Touchdown!

Natalie...what are you drinking?! Is that your dad serving you a Lite beer by Miller??

Look at that face...what's not to love?

Aunt Cindy and her favorite niece...and then moments later, she threw up on me. Total throw ups on Aunt Cindy for the weekend: 4.

Natalie's Dedication

Brent and I are new to the roles of Uncle and Aunt, but so far we're loving the job duties. Megan and Kevin invited us to Natalie's dedication. She was a perfect baby and looked beautiful in her dress. She was wearing a bonnet that will become a hankie for her wedding day.
We love you Natalie!

A View of the City

Brent and I were out and about a few weeks before our wedding and ended up having a few drinks at a bar in Mt. Adams. This place has 4 balconies and we were sitting at the top just soaking in the view of the city. Fantastic!

Olympics

So the olympics are over, but on the night of the opening ceremony, our friend John threw a party. We came dressed as our favorite sporting events or countries. Since Brent and I have such a collection of Vietnamese items, we came representing Vietnam. There were events for us to participate in (Flip Cup, Duck Hunt Wii, Guitar Hero and our favorite Communist Cornhole). There were medals at the end of the evening. My team (Craig and myself) didn't do so hot with the events, however Brent and Ryan did win third place earning them a bronze medal. Here are pictures from that night.

My First Post

So after months of reading and looking at pictures of several friends' blogs, I decided to create a blog too. I did however think to myself, "what will I blog about?". Then it came to me. "I did just get married! That's something to talk about!"

Exactly 18 days ago, Brent and I got married! It was the most fabulous day and we had an absolute blast! The weather was perfect, the day went off without a hitch and I think all our guests had a good time. Couldn't have been more wonderful.
I was so cool, calm and collected the final days before the wedding. I somehow managed to take care of all my things by Wednesday (or at least knew they were being taken care of by my wedding coordinator), so I was able to enjoy family and friends coming into town beginning Thursday.
It rained all day Friday and somehow I knew to not worry. The weather folks said over and over that it was going to be dry on Saturday and so I believed them. For the rehearsal, it stopped raining just long enough for us to complete what we had to do and then it started raining again as we left.
Saturday was absolutely beautiful. Bright blue sky and dry! Those weather folks were right! I was worried about mud at the ceremony, but the ground was dry. As the ceremony began, sun was gleaming down to the guests, but suddenly a cloud came by and lessened the grips on the squinters for the ceremony. It was very poetic. Poeticly perfect.

Afterwards for our honeymoon, Brent and I traveled to Cancun, Mexico for a long awaited vacation. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Loved every minute of it. We stayed at the Excellence Riviera Cancun. Aah....fantastic! It was an all inclusive resort and it seriously makes you not want to travel any other way. Didn't have to worry about money, food, water, nothing. We just ate and drank our way through our honeymoon.
Unfortunately, we were scheduled to fly back to Cincinnati when there was an 80 mph windstorm flying through the area. Cincinnati, Dayton and I think some of Columbus had major power outage. So we were stuck in Miami, Florida. Not a bad place to be stuck, but we didn't have our luggage and besides the Browns game was on, so Brent had to find a TV. We finally ended up flying in the next morning and our bags arrived the next afternoon. We also came home to power and missed the event entirely. Some of our friends weren't so lucky.
